Redeemer Lutheran Church celebrates Ascension Day in Lubbock

Sanctuary of Redeemer Lutheran Church in the Heart of Lubbock with stained glass windows

Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2221 Avenue W, in the Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood, celebrates Ascension Day 40 days after Easter. The public is invited to join our service on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.

We celebrate the Ascension of our Lord because Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the Father. He rules over all things and is able to deliver His victory over sin, death, and the devil to us. This also means He is able to be with us more than when He lived on this earth.

Want to know more about why this day is so important for our lives? Please join us at Redeemer Lutheran Church for Ascension Day.

Visitors are encouraged to use the entrance on the east side of the church. Be sure to check out our website http://rlcms.org/ for more information about our beliefs. Redeemer is a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).

Any confirmed LCMS member in good standing is welcome to receive the Lord’s Body and Blood in Holy Communion. We encourage all other visitors to come to the rail for a blessing with arms crossed over their hearts.
