LUBBOCK, Texas – Redeemer Lutheran Church will host a free Mini-VBS and school supply giveaway on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. in the parish hall. Families should enter from the parking lot on the east side of the church.
Children and families are invited to enjoy a Bible lesson, music, crafts, snacks, and free school supplies. The first 100 kids to sign in with a parent or guardian will receive a school supply pack and an ESV Bible.
Supply packs include:
- 48 pencils
- 2 boxes of 24-count crayons
- 1 box washable markers
- 1 box colored pencils
- 12 glue sticks
- 4 dry erase markers
- 4 pink erasers
- 1 pencil pouch
- 1 pair scissors
- 4 folders w/ brads & pockets
- 4 spiral notebooks
- 5 composition notebooks
- 1 pencil sharpener1 over-the-ear headphones
This year’s Mini-VBS theme is “Jesus Is My Lifesaver,” reminding children that just as a lifeguard rescues people from danger, Jesus came to save us from sin and give us eternal life.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate alongside their children throughout the event. The entire community is welcome, with a special invitation for families in the Heart of Lubbock neighborhood.
